Microsoft GPUG Summit is jam packed with a ton of learning opportunities from October 10th through October 13th in Nashville, Tennessee. There are multiple days full of breakout sessions, general sessions, exhibit hours and more. So, where do you even start with making a schedule and planning out your days? We broke it down for you below.The first day of the conference, October 10th, has a full day of general sessions. These will cover everything you need to get the most out of the rest of your week at the conference. The sessions are short 20 minute blocks that cover topics such as using social media at Summit, member engagement, engaging locally and more. If you’re a new attendee, you can attend a reception from 4-5 p.m. to get familiar with the conference, learn how to navigate the layout and get to know some new people.
On the second day of the conference, October 11th, make sure to get up early and grab breakfast from 7-8 a.m. An opening keynote will begin at 8:15 a.m. welcoming you to GPUG Summit with speakers from across the Microsoft organization. From 10:15 a.m. -12:30 p.m., GPUG Summit attendees will be released to attend 2 breakout sessions covering different topics like business intelligence, finance, HR/Payroll and reporting. Lunch will be served from 12:30-1:45 p.m. and you can also start checking out the expo hall. The expo hall is a great place to find new solutions that will integrate with and leverage your Microsoft product. From 1:45-5:15 p.m., more breakout sessions will be taking place. After 5, short 20 minute sessions with great topics like Women in Dynamics, using the user group website and more will take place until 7 p.m.
On the third day of the conference, October 12th, the day moves a little more quickly. Again, make sure you fuel up and grab breakfast from 7-8 a.m. At 8 a.m., check out the keynote speakers with a special performance by KidBilly Music. The Partner Solution Showcase sessions will begin at 10 a.m. and last until 11 a.m. and breakout sessions will follow from 11:15 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Grab lunch from 12:15-1:15 p.m. and walk the expo hall floor. Breakout sessions resume from 1:15 until 4:45 p.m. Finally, cap off the day with some fun, which you deserve after all your hard work the last two days by grabbing a shuttle to downtown Nashville from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Finally, on October 13th, the last day of the conference, you can wake up a little later and grab breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. We jump right into the breakout sessions today from 8:30-10:45 a.m. Grab lunch today from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. During lunch, you can either walk the expo hall again, or check out a short 20 minute session on topics such as Power BI Tips and Tricks, Budgeting and Forecasting or Member Showcase. Finally, attend the last two breakout sessions of the conference from 1:15-3:30 p.m.
